Tennant’s Stalk

Number7. “Chimney at Glasgow, Scotland” was Tennants Stalk, or Tennants Lum, St. Rollox Chemical Works. 435 feet tall, designed by Professor Rankine of Glasgow University, it was once the 4th highest construction in the world.

A cartoon entitled “The Giants of Rollox”. These were the huge chimneys of the St. Rollox Chemical Works in Glasgow. It was included in a book called The Chronicles of Gotham in 1856.
